Default JWT Popcharger/Engine check

I just installed my JWT intake today and after I was done I noticed I had a check engine light. I checked that I plugged the MAF back in and mad sure all hose clamps were tight. Car idles and drives normal. Is this normal? Should I reset the ECU? Take it to the dealer? Will it go away? Let me know guys. Thanks.

did you unplug the battery before disconnecting / reconnecting the MAF?

Usually do not get this problem if you do not disconect the MAF during the install...

most likely it only needs to be reset...

Feel free to bring it up to us and Ill make sure our service department takes care of it for you...

This is a old thread but just in case you want to take care of it on your own. I found out from a fellow Z owner that you can just disconnect the battery for about 20 mins or so. That should reset it. Did mine yesterday and same thing happened. Hope this helps for newcomers on the block.

Best bet is to disconnect one side of the battery before you start working on the car if you're going to be disconnecting and reconnecting sensors. Then, when you're finished and you've double checked everything else, reconnect the battery. Get into this practice and you might even save yourself from having to replace a sensor unnecessarily.

If you forgot to do the above, just disconnect your battery and then tap the brakes several times to bleed off any remaining current in capacitors, etc. That way you don't have to wait.
