Default pop charger oil

I took my pop cahrger off to clean it, and I am just wondering how you know if you put tooo much oil on it? I keep reading that if you over oil it, it can mess up the MAF sensor, so if anyone can help i would appreciate it.

Thanks.

One sure sign is if it's dripping oil -

Seriously, just spray a small amount on - just enough to lightly coat the outside ribs & between the ribs of the filter. You don't need a lot.......... I would also suggest cleaning the filter first if you're gonna re-oil. You can pick up the K&N cleaner at AutoZone (among other places I'm sure).

yeah, i cleaned it a couple of days ago, and let it dry. I went over it, and it is kind of light blue now...not as dark as when it was new.
