Default Help needed! Problem with install...

Please help. G35Sean was going to post pre and post dynos of his Crawford Header, Plenum and Cat install BUT... there is a problem.

He went to the dyno and gained very very minimal gains. The problem doesn't seem to be the products, rather the install. Whenever he turns his car off you can hear the car "exhale". There is definitely a leak somewhere but we can't figure out where. The hp and tq are WAY low, like +7rwhp over his stock dyno. Does anyone have any tips to help us fix this problem?

We've checked the bolts on the plenum (they're tight), the oil cap plastic lip is not between the manifolds, the black plastic plug was transfered from the stock plenum to the Crawford Plenum. It sounds like the leak is coming from one of the hoses on the passenger side of the car or the plenum or the passenger side headers???

FYI, during the install they removed some of the stock radiator hoses and had to put more fluid in. Could there be air in this system?

Please help! TIA.

That sound is present on my car and it is normal, especially if he has an intake. He made gains so what's the problem? Graph the two dynos next to each other. If the 7 rwph is the best gain, I would say you may have something else going on, but most likely, there are some big time gains somewhere along the RPM curve -OTHER than where peak HP is made.

Not all gains are made at peak! If there really was an issue, I doubt he would have even acheived the baseline numbers. Post the two dynos graphed together so we can see.

Neffster here posting at Sean's house.

My car is an animal with the same mods. Sean's car is quite tame. There is DEFINITIELY a leak somewhere. We're working on it now. Any advice?

Saturday, 3:20pm EST. TIA
