Default First Post: Anybody see anything wrong with this header/exhaust combo?

Hello, new poster here. I'm looking at buying a new 2005 350Z Enthusiast (probably in Le Mans Sunset). Anyhow, to get to the point, im looking at mods for the Z and I think im pretty set on the Stillen Exhaust but im undecided on what type of headers to get. I'm looking at the two below but other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. After the Headers/Exhaust I will probably get a new intake then Turbo or Supercharger before I get any exterior mods (bodykit, tint, wheels, etc). Thanks in advance.

DC Sports Stainless Steel Headers
or
Stillen Headers Stainless Steel

Stillen Dual Wall Tip True Dual Exhaust

Both DC Sports and Stillen Headers post minimal gains when compared to Alphawerks or Crawford. If you want to save a buck you can get Topspeed headers which post the same gains as DC Sports. Do a search and you'll find a wealth of information.

Well if you are going turbo you may want to hold off on the header...

I'd go as far as to say hold off on both and save up for the Turbo/Supercharger. You'll see a much bigger gain with FI than any of the bolt-ons, and any parts you purchase now may or may not be compatible with the type of FI you choose later.

If you are going with Turbo, you're just waisting your money with the headers+install. Now if you're going with a SC setup on the other hand, then a good set of headers is a good thing. Make sure you know which path to take or you'll end up spending a lot more than you should.

Agreed with what everyone is saying. If you go Turbo, forget about Headers. If S/C, then I think Crawford is your best bet.

They dyno I saw on Stillen headers was 18.5 TQ with great gains throughout the RPM's... I have yet to see anyone else hit that number so until I see a before and after SAE corrected dyno to disprove it I am thinking Stillen... 11.5 HP too, not bad. The HP shoots up with test pipes, solving the exhaust bottle neck.

Default Thanks!

Thanks for all the great feedback. I guess the main issue I have to attend to now is which path to take, SC or Turbo. Oh and which money tree to shake outside

Thanks again everybody.
