Default What Exhaust has given the best BHP increase

as the title says "What Exhaust has given the best BHP increase"

their has been many contradicting posts though i am looking for hard facts on dyno before and after.

If there has been 2 cars at a dyno meet even with only an exhayst done what are your experiences.

Cheers Lew

Stillen usually makes the most power. But it is a bit spendy.

it's also 10 heavier than stock

I don't know of any other exhaust that's heavier than stock

all the others save you weight

... apparantly many people don't read the old reviews, not just this originator. Stillen is not heavier than stock because you remove the Y-pipe as well, which is not part of the *stock exhaust system*, but yes it is one of the heaviest, with some of the largest reported gains. Don't get too excited about the weight too, it is back heavy (good).

don't mean to be a naysayer... but 15 whp is highly doubtful on ANY exhaust for the Z

a more realistic gain would be 5-10 whp at most

if you're not modding the exhaust for sound, you're better off improving performance by lightening the exhuast than by simply buying a system that supposedly makes power... the full TI systems for instance weight about 5 lbs front to back, which nets you about 50 lbs off stock... which translates roughly into 0.05 secs off the 1/4 mile on weight savings alone (or give a take a full second when you factor in the hp "gains")
