Default Torque Spec on intake manifold ??

Im just finishing up my tt install, and was going to put the intake manifold back on. My questions is 1.) how important is it to tighten the intake manifold to spec ? and 2.) if it is does anyone know the ft./lbs of torque all bolts are supposed to be tightened to and in what sequence ? Thanks Dave

The torque is actually in inch/lbs. There are a few links to service manuals around but the Crawford Z car website may have a set of install instructions for their plenum....maybe worth a shot.

Very important, as the bolts strip REALLY easily.

It doesnt take much trq...9-10ft/lbs according to the manual.

If you are talking about the specs of the upper plenum, I believe it torques to 72 in/lbs which is 6 ft/lbs if I remember correctly from my Kinetix plenum install. Dont hold me to this but thats what I am thinking.

I'll second this. Also, here's the order to tighten them in.

Whoops... I guess I "misremembered" that torque spec. It's actually a little lower. Maybe your's is from the '03 shop manual GQ? Here's what I have ('04).
