ALPHAWERKS HEADERS install pics and advice
here are a few pics of my ALPHAWERKS headers from NEXUSINDUSTRY.COM
I will have more pics of the install later as well as some other info on the install itself. I will try to dyno this upcoming week.
the install was a task but well worth effort. My buddy Harrry and I had no problems with anything during the install. Harry had done a header install on his Z so i was real comfortable with him and his work. total time for install was @7 hours. it can be done quicker but we took our sweet time, that is the way i like to do things.
i haven't reset my ECU yet but here is what i have observed so far: my 3rd gear pulls VERY hard. Top end power delivery feels GREAT. the sound is only a bit louder than w/out the headers. the exhaust note changed only a bit but still sounds very nice.
more to come stay tuned!!
BIG shout out to Harry for all of his help and expertise!!!!!

can't speak for other headers but i can for these. my buddies have DC and Nismo headers but i did not seem them prior to install. the fit and finish on the Alphawerks headers was exceptional!! i am sure that these headers are expensive for a reason. there are less expensive headers on the market but i trusted what i had heard and read about these the most. i am very happy i went with the Alphawerks. Nexusindustry did their homework(R&D) in bringing these once JDM headers over to the US. i would definitely recommend these headers!!
i'll try my hardest to dyno early this week!!

surprised you didnt get your headers coated.... at idle you can barely tell the difference but when you hit the gas, the car sounds phenomenal. the engine breathes so much better and theres more of a growl to it. has a nice v-8 or even a porsche sound to it

although headers are not easily seen, they can be. i love the polished headers. i am building my Z for show. i am more concerned with the overall appeal of the car. performance matters to me too but i did not feel it necessary to coat the headers.
i reset the ECU today, maybe it is in my head as things like this usually are a product of what we want to hear, feel or see. i felt that the Z was more responsive and pulled harder after the i reset the ECU. the sounds seems to get better everytime i turn on my Z, i'm lovin' it!!!!!!

vitaminZ,
Glad to hear your happy Nice headers and nice pics!
I can't wait to install my headers and HFCs in two weeks! Mine aren't bling bling anymore though... I coated everything for longevity and heat reduction. I was so nervous about melting things...

Hello all,
Been out of it dealing with some leasing issues on our new Cali warehouse but I am glad to see that the headers had gone so well. If there is anything that we can assist anyone here with just let us know...
Great pics btw...
Take care,
Anthony
