Unhappy Installed New Toys......Problems

Hey all this is my first post I am usually a ghost on this forum but I figured I would throw out some info. This past Saturday I put on my new toys. I got the AAM plenum spacer, Topspeed headers, test pipes, and OBX Y pipe. I mated them up with my Tanabe super racing medalion exhaust I already had. The only other mods I have are an AEM intake and B&M short shifter. The only thing I can say is Dayum that thing is loud and a completly different car. I did the complete header and test pipe install in 4 hours start to finish. I borrowed one of the lifts at Russel VW. I do have two problems someone may be able to help me with. First I can deal with the rasp, hissing, and smell, but there is a rattling coming from under the car around 3k is driving me nuts. How the hell can I fix that it seems like the Y pipe is banging the chasis. Second there is a rattling from my shifter around 4k on as I accelerate hard what can I do to eliminate that. Other than that I love this thing this is my second month having the car. Oh Yeah Dave at IPDG is awsome.

You may be rubbing at the rear brace. When I got my R/T cats, Performance included some spacer washers to drop the brace down. I had a very bad rattle till I put the spacers in.

sometimes you just need to pull down the exhaust/test pipes before you tighten them up....my test pipes used to rattle against the floor but i just pulled them down a bit and fixed the problem

I will have to get under there this week and check it out. Yeah I thought it was going to be at least 5 to seven hours but i will put it this way with the right tools and a lift everything was a breeze. it took me about 3 hours to get everything off and a little over an hour to put it back together. I had some help here and there but all in all it went quicker then i thought. The most painful part was taking off the radiator plumbing, and letting everything cool down. I burned myself a couple times such a dumbass.

rattling could cause by the parts made contact with the chasis. Come back to the shop that install for you and ask them to fix for you.

Good luck solving the shifter rattle. Here are some things that have already been tried with moderate success:
