Hindsight is always 20/20, but you should have dynoed bone stock first. I have heard results from a couple 300hp motors and so far they have been impressive. I have also seen thawk408's dyno sheets and how it reacted to modifications . . .again very impressive.

I think you might be better off replacing the test pipes over waiting for an ECU reflash. Then take it back to the dyno again.

I think that spacer is costing you power. With redesigned higher flow intake manifold for the 6MTs, adding a spacer will most likely cause tubrulence in the chamber in the upper rpms. Take that off and put the stock intake back on. I'd bet you'll see better numbers then.

NO. This is not the case at all, as I got about 8-9rwhp more with the crawford plenum then I did the stock. He is throwing a CEL becuase of the test-pipes, so he should look into fixing that FIRST. The only thing the new intake manifold is that the lower plenum has smaller and fatter runners. How in the world would a plenum spacer add extra turbulence?

Here is my dyno:

Give it run for a few mile and then dyno it again. The result may surprise you.
I dyno my bone stock Z when it has 1300 miles and my put down 233whp and 226tq. THen dyno it with no hp mods at 7k miles and got 256whp and 244tq. The engine just probably haven't well broken in yet.

I'm going to disagree with you here. I dynoed 276rwhp (before my flywheel) with all my bolt ons and no ECU reflash. It is impossible to look at a number and say it is low or high (unless its ridiculously low or high ) because of the variations in hp machines. The only meaningful comparison is between dynos done on the same car on the same machine without mods first, then with mods.

Here is my dyno:

The 05 6MT manifold is designed for higher air flow in the upper rpms while trading a bit midrange punch. To do this, intake velocity is increased by redesigning the runners (ie lower part of the manifold). By adding a spacer or plenum could possibly disrupt the intake velocity and intake pulses. Your dyno does seem to show a very marginal increase in power from 6000-7000rpms which really won't make you much quicker in the 1/4 mile (maybe .05 seconds), but it is clear you're not loosing any power.

The redisgned manifold is not found on every 05 6mt. The manifold is only found on the 05 Track and 05 35th Aniv. Edition 6spd. I could care less about 1/4 mile times as they are not important to me. The extra power uptop is real help on the track.

Mine is almost the exact same way. I only had the a/f ratios hooked up for my baseline, so I don't have one with the crawford plenum. After I do headers and highflows I will have the a/f hooked up when I dyno.

The a/f ratios are written on the bottom of the picture, take a look:

05' Euth.
Modz: Nismo Exhaust, Crawford HF Catz, JWT POP

3 pulls in 4th = 261-268.8 HP
