I know there is a better mathmatical explanation but all the dyno charts and chats i have seen are in 4th in regards for the manual T.

Mine had one pull that was in 4th and the rest were in 3rd.
4th only pulled 202.20 and 3rd pulled 229.96.
Major difference there.

?? 5th gear is the correct gear to dyno in since it's the closest to 1:1.

I'm not sure where you're getting your info...

If you dyno in 5th, you will never get your RPMs to redline.

On a 6spd the correct gear to dyno in is 5th gear.

it doesn't matter if you dyno in 4th or 5th gear, as long as you always dyno in same gear after that.

There are also safety issues with going 230kmh on a dyno. Even though Ideally you would want 5th gear, but most modern dyno can be setup to be dynoed on other gear ratios than 1-1. Note, some cars don't even have 1-1 gear ratio.

Dyno is not a race, there is no prize. People confuse the use of these things.

I dyno in 5th gear without any issues. I have roughly the same mods as the 300hp engine guy that started this thread, except it also have an intake. I was using 93 octane and hotttttt miami weather during the pull, my best of 3 pulls was 256.6 HP and 246.6 TQ, K&N intake, test pipes, and y pipe. I think im more than happy with my 287hp engine

Try to ask the shop what other 350z's have run on their dyno. If they baseline around 230, then you're ok. If they baseline in the 240s, then something's up. Prob the ECU, as people mentioned. Try a ECU reset if you haven't already.

The curves in your attached pics are unreadable. Do you have any bigger pictures by any chance?
