Unhappy dynoed my 05 300hp engine whit few bolts on

dynoed my car today my best pull was 248.8whp and my lowest 240.4
my mod are test pipe,y pipe, spacer plenum, stock muffler, intake was took off in front of blower whit no filter for direct fresh air ,overall im not impress for does mod i was looking for 260 + my a/f is way to rich 12-11.5 in top end
the dyno brand is dynojet248 sae corrected whit 91oc fuel
im guessing that 05ecu is self ajusting whit no gain benefit
so let me know what you all thinking about it

what do the 300hp engines baseline dyno at? cuz 248.8 is pretty high considering you only have test pipes and a y-pipe and spacer (only things making power).

do not forget that torque is what makes you accelerate faster, not HP. how did the torque curve change from stock baseline? doing a baseline run is the only way you can get close to seeing what power difference you are gaining.

This is really weird. How many pulls did you do? Also are you throwing a cell with the testpipes?

I dynoed with 93 octane. I would bet that the lower numbers is b/c of the cel. I would highly recommend putting highflows, stock, or doing the o2 sensor mod and see if this helps raise the power.

Get the TS ecu flash that was recommended for me. Bone stock you might even dyno at the same number or higher from what i've seen from Baseline 300hp model Z's. My reasoning for that is from the increased air flow the ecu compensates and adds fuel to run on the economic side and we end up running rich in higher RPMS where the peak power is. From my experience i was running rich after 4700rpm. IMO you won't see maximum gains from your mods without TS/AAM ECU flash.

Also dyno's aren't 100% law if you added the mod and it feels stronger then don't worry about it. What i did was test drove a stock Z to get a comparison with my mods and it was a day and night difference seriously stock feels slow.

My car dyno'd really low with my listed NA mods. The ECU reflash is the key to gaining any power whatsoever out of your NA and bolt-on mods. Don't even bother hitting the dyno without the ECU reflash unless you're prepared to be disappointed.

I dont think anyone has cracked the 05 ECU.

Theres a good chance you are taking in hot air from the engine bay. This will reduce HP.

I really do not think it is a reflash issue at all. I would take care of the CEL and then I would leave the intake alone. Do that and redyno and see what happens. I think you will be suprised.

I was talking to BJ a month ago at 350evo about the reflash and he informed me that TS is working on the 05 ECU now and should be finished here shortly (remember this was a month ago so it could be out already). If you have any questions just call 350evo.com. They are very informative on the up and coming for the 350z.

The ECU is 100% definitely the culprit.

If reflash / ECU tune is not available right now, just wait...
