Also, I seriously doubt that there have been more Kinetix plenums sold than the Crawford plenum - would have to check on that.

And BTW, I have used both plenums - Crawford v.5 & Kinetix v.4 - so have tried both......and know both. BTW, I have a never-installed painted Kinetix v.3 I'll sell ya cheap........Here's a pic of it along with the "fugly" Crawford I run
Hey pinhead? Real childish idiot...

You have a very nice looking plenum I give credit on that. Well done... It is about the only nice one I have seen. You should be the poster boy and inspiration for guys with fugly Crawford plenums. You are the man... you have all those kick *** stickers and sht too. Daaaaym!

So where did I say the other versions cracked? Huh? Wha? Your just talking to talk I guess. Typical, it happens a lot on this board...

More Kinetix Plenums have been sold I am sure of it. But you seem to read too much into my comments, which is normal. I will explain it better so you understand. I don't mean to say the Kinetix is better because they have sold more, which is probably why you opened your mouth in the first place. It boils down to cost and GB's. Kinetix cost less and they have had way more GB's. That is why they have sold more plenums

"Cracked in shipping or missed in final inspection." Either way more QC needs to be done to make sure this doesn't happen again. Maybe design their packaging better or use better equipment to check for hair line cracks.

Looking at it, the fitting that goes into the plenum where it cracked looks like a pipe fitting. Pipe fittings are tapered and prone to do this if overtightened.

Is this fitting installed at the factory of by the owner?

Also, who is using vicegrips on brass, my metal shop teacher would pass out!

This thread addressed a cracked cast plenum....in your first post you said "I guess the Crawford V-skillet might be having cracking issues too." No, there is no cracking issues on ANY of the pre-cast plenums that I know of, including the Crawford V. Just wanted to point that out, that's all.....

Speaking of childish.....remember you throwing the insults around quite a bit on the other forum - ha! - actually pretty fun to read! Remembering your avatar you used to use, I didn't think you'd mind the "pinhead" comment. Pretty low, though, attacking my ultra-cool underhood stickers (hahha)..... I guess my childish jab deserves payback - that's cool... All is good in Z-World

LOL you deserved some payback for sure but I might have been a little hard on you so it’s all good. BTW I am not saying V through Skillet is cracking, I am saying "Version Skillet." I think this is where things are getting confused. The Crawford’s have always been good. I wanted one, but I went with Kinetix V2 (Cracked), then V4 then sold it, then purchased one then sold it again. LOL believe me name I been through the pain of the cracked Kinetix. But I still think Kinetix is an A+ company that tries to make its customers happy.

Besides after countless posts talking about cracked Kinetix Plenums I just had to jump on the bandwagon here.

I went with APS... I thought about T-netics but I was not sure about the ECU reflash for controlling fuel. Now after seeing some posts the T-Netics looks pretty good! GL to those who purchased that kit. I love the looks of the turbo on top of the engine... bling bling baby

We did get enough people to get the APS Tall Boy Plenum in out GB so all went well.
