Just about to pickup my car within the next hour (had a Nismo catback put on). The garage told me they removed the grounding strap because it was too short. Should I pickup a longer one and have them put it on?
Thanks.
Thanks.

i bet they didn't see it when they took the exhaust off and broke it, unless they gave it too you...i haven't heard of anyone having trouble with the ground wire being too short...i don't know what it's there for, but i'm sure theres a decent reason so i would put another one back on. i've put on 2 different exhausts on my z but i don't remember what the ground wire even connected too.

I couldn't find anything in the my searches. My Z has a grounding strap that grounded the exhaust to the chassis. Because the Nismo exhaust has its connections in a different place the grounding strap was too short.
Strange I just checked my shop manual and there is no grounding strap in the diagram.

its connected to the muffler and b-pipe flange, thought I remember it has some slack..if the broke it or whatever, any ground strap should do...I doubt you have reasons for concern about it missing at this point.....
