Default Throttle Body Spacer

Hi,

Does anyone manufacture a Throttle Body Spacer for the 3.5l engine? Would there be any interest to buy one? I would use one to monitor air intake temperature and to install a water injection kit (could be used for nitrous too).

Thanks!

Actually, i'd like to get a thermal gasket for between the throttle body and plenum.
Anyone make those? Or would this be the same thing?

The thermal gasket wouldn't be the same thing as a spacer. A spacer would be about 1/2" thick metal so he could tap it for the water/NOX injector or to mount a temp. probe. You can monitor the OBDII connection for air temp at the MAF.

Fisherspeed sold a thermal kit with gasket but they appear to be out of business - no response to emails for serveral weeks now. Keep an eye out, there may be something coming in the next couple of weeks....

The HKS SC comes with a 1/2" or 3/4" TB spacer like you are talking about. NINJA-Z (Lee) has the HKS kit and has the TB spacer. I am not sure if you can buy this piece separately though.

3/4" would be perfect for what I need. Depending on the material used, it can also serve as a heat barrier to prevent heat transfer from the plenum to the throttle body and intake. No real HP benefits however.

I'll see if HKS sells it separately.

there is a thermal gasket company that makes a gasket along with a plenum thermal gasket....email them as they have finally responded to my emails. unfortunately, i already purchased a kit through another company. this does not sound like what you guys are after except for the guy looking for the thermal gaskets

here is the info for the email and their website is www.fisherspeed.com., and email sales@fisherspeed.com
