After searching and looking through the massive amount of test pipe threads already out there, I'm not seeing much feedback on this combo. It's about the one combination I can't find an recording of.
Anyone have a sound file or thoughts? I know there's going to be some rasp as I've run a few of my other cars with straight pipes but how bad is it going to be?
Edit: Oops, please move to the I/E forum. My apologies.

I had aps test pipes with the stock exhaust, I had that set up on my car for exactly 1 week, I sold the test pipes and bought a cat back, i didnt like driving around a new car with an SES light that sounded like it had BB's flying around in a tin can, it sounded awful IMO
Which ever test pipes you get, make sure you get resonated ones, it will be quiter and it will reduce alot of the rasp vs non resonated test pipes. Also, stock exhaust and resonated test pipes will sound very similar as the stock exhaust alone. I got the kinetix resonated test pipes and I like them alot, so that would be my recommendation.

The $369 Kinetix wants for their resonated test pipes is a bit much...
If you want a cheaper way to do it.... just gut your cats. I gutted mine a little while ago with the stock exhaust and it sounds just like stock but just a little louder. I'd suggest that.

I will be putting on resonated test pipes on a stock exhast next week. I will update this thread with my results. I bought "ebay special" resonated test pipes so it will be interesting to see how it sounds and performs compaired to the 3x as expensive name brand kind.

Believe it or not, I hadn't thought to look on ebay. Definitely looking forward to your review.

Did you get the resonated or non-resonated version?
If you want a video, I have a video of my car from a while back with kinetix resonated cats and the stock exhaust.
Now I have the Nismo exhaust...much higher pitched but also much much louder...
