Injen Exhaust owners any rattle?
Iam curious to see the show of hands of Z owners have an annoying rattle sound come from their Injen exhaust (near the back area, almost by the cannisters seems) especially when they drive low rpm/speed's?
Yes,
I had a rattle I just finally fixed!! If you look under the car right pass the cannisters you'll see a black bar on the passanger side thats where my injen was hitting... From looking at it, it looked like it cleared it but, when driving it touches some how giving a metal to metal sound.
How I fixed it was I got some hose clamps I kinda forgot the size, when I get home I'll find out. So I took the clamps and clamped them around the rubbers on the hangers as you begin to tighten them it slowly lifts up the exhaust giving more clearance away from the black bar. Went out for a drive and no sound! Its been like this for about 2 months now no more rattle!

My hks had a similar low rpm only rattle also. Turns out the passenger side of the mid-pipe which goes over the rear sway was touching the body mount bolt.
I'm not sure how your injen is routed, but if it goes over the sway bar you might want to check that area also.

I have posted this fix on G35driver, so I will post it here. The is the mid-pipe hitting the cross member.
Here it is:
After dealing with the infamous Injen Exhaust rattle, I finally got a chance to come up with a solution earlier today. First I would like to state that I have tried the other fixes that were posted on this forum with little success. I had the hangers on the mid-pipes bent, and that solved it for a short time only to find that the rattle returned.
The fix consisted of two 2 3/4" hose clamps around the rubber bushings that the hangers are on. They are tight enough that it has lifted the mid-pipe close to an inch above the cross member. So far from driving around today I haven't heard one single rattle.
One of my concerns though is that maybe the hose clamps could eat through the rubber bushings, I don't think it will, but does anyone think it may? I will check again in a few weeks to see if everything is still holding up.
