Invidia G200 exhaust owners....
I recently bought and installed my G200 exhaust on my 03. My only mods to date are this and the JWT Popcharger. Of course once installed there is a definite break in period. However, it's been a week now and I still hear a 'raspiness' when at WOT above 4,000 rpms till redline. Anybody else experience this? It's not unbearable, but I chose this exhaust b/c of it's quiteness and assumed that it would have no rasp to it whatsoever. It's a sound almost like that of a car with cat delete pipes. Is this normal? Does it go away? Could it be an exhaust leak and if so, how do you determine if you do indeed have one?
Thanks!
Thanks!

i'll have mine on this coming weekend so i can give you my impressions then. from what i've read there isn't supposed to be any rasp.
check your connections and be sure everything is tightened down good. exhaust leaks will give off a bad sound.

Thanks for the heads up....I'll just have to check my connections.
Anyone else think it was jacked that they didn't supply 2 new gaskets where the cats connected to the new piping? Wondered if that could be the culprit right there.

I Love mine, and also have no rasp. However, I noticed a rough idle. I had an "H" pipe welded in. It smoothed out the idle, both sound, and a slight lope. The exhaust now sounds smoother throughout the band.
The Cat gaskets are reusable. I've now reused mine twice, with a third time coming up. No issues.
BTW, my Crawford headers are now at Jet-Hot, and should be shipping to me on thursday. I hope to install next week. I wonder how that will change things.

Hmm...hey lowride be sure and post about how the high flow cats affect your sound, perf. etc. Looking to possibly get some Intense motosports cat deletes...which Im sure will be even louder. thanks.

Look at the first pict, and you'll see that I already have Hi-Flows. I had them before I got the Invidia, so I can't tell you how they affected the sound. When I put them in, I felt it, that's for sure. The stock cats are very restrictive. The Hi-Flows are definitely a good mod.

How much did you guys pay a shop to install the G200? I'm being quoted 80-90 around my neck of the woods. One dealer insulted me by quoting me $300. I don't have the patience to install the mid and y pipe; So doing it myself is out of the question

as for the installation, it seriously didn't take long at all to do with a friend helping. the hardest part was getting the oem muffler off the car. the invidia went on in about 15 minutes, not exaggerating. but... it shouldnt cost much at all to have installed considering how simple it is.

anyone have any good video clips? I have d/l the ones already on hear, but they don't sound too good. Very distorted and windy sounding. I would appreciate it if anyone could get some clear, more accurate sound clips if possible. I am really interested in this exhaust, but I want to make sure I am going to like the sound. Does it keep the stock melodic rumble/tone? (somewhat like the amuse, fuji, and nismo exhausts)
thanks,
Jon
