Default Popcharger deviation...

I got my popcharger today and installed it. I did everything as instructed except drilling/punching the hole and putting the two screws in the snorkel.

I just wedged the snorkel between the heat shield. See attachment.

Has anyone done the same thing as I have? Is there any problems with what I did? Any comments would be helpful.

Thanks.

PS: please only comments from people who have popchargers.

I think that shield might come off if you hit a bump. Last thing you want is that to fall into your belts & pulleys since it's right next to them. I'm sure it may work for now but sooner or later that thing is going to pop loose.

I did the same thing. Isn't that how it's suppose to be? OR, is the shield suppose to be on the outside of hte snorkel?

He positioned it correctly on his pic (inside or outside the snorkel is fine). He's just asking if anyone else simply wedged it in without without actually screwing it into the snorkel. If you look carefully at his pic, it's not screwed to the snorkel like it instructed you to do.
