You know what if I remember correctly the little section that has the MAF sensor can be unscrewed with the MAF in it

It's cute that you don't even have your AIM screen name specified in your control panel...

unless we are to assume that your my350z screenname is the same as your AIM.

I thought that the Pop Charger install didn't involve doing anything to the MAF sensor since you use the stock MAF housing and just basically remove the OEM airbox and stick a filter on the end of the MAF housing. Anyways you never pull on the MAF it is very sensative. There are two Nissan specific screws that hold the MAF into the housing and can be gotten out with a small flat head screwdriver.

It's not the MAF sensor that he is having trouble taking the screw off for. the maf sensor is connected to a short 2 to 3 inch pipe that houses the sensor. you have to unscrew 4 screws that connect the air box filter to the 2- 3 inch pipe that houses the MAF sensor. Those screws(bolts) are very very tricky to get off since other things are in the way. I had to use my friends 10mm which he machined down to half it's length to get those bolts off.

Ratcheting wrenches are your friend. If you don't have a set, go run down to Sears.

I did this install 2 days ago, and yeah, use a wrench to get the bolts out of the MAF housing. Do NOT remove the sensor itself though. That's a $400 mistake.

you start by taking off the stock air box and then loosen the clamp that goes to the MAF sensor and pull it off.. this is a very simple install.. you don't have to use a machined down 10mm.. i guess u can take a picture of that or something... basic hand tools can get the job done, nothing special is needed. if you are having trouble installing this then u should take it to a shop and have them put it on. the best suggestion i can give you is that get everything in place and tighten down that bracket that connects to the airfilter and mount first.. then tighten the clamps... make sure everything is secure and remove all tools and reconnect the sensor... other than that you should be set.

little off topic....but i did disconnect the connector on the MAF once when i was trying to remove the intake box and the tube for spark plugs install. Then after installing the plugs I started the car without plugging back in the MAF connector and the car stalled...I plugged it back in and everything went fine again...will that damage my MAF sensor??

Nope, not at all. From the MAF sensor's perspective, the car was never started.
