where you been man?

everyone's been talking about it for the last 4 months

seriously, type "SSV" in the search field

kinetixracing.com sells it for $820 - they make the thing

$875 is stupid

I ordered the SSV about 3 weeks ago and will be having it installed in early Nov. Definitely curious what the gains will be with my vortech setup and all. Anyone with the SSV and F/I have any comments?

BTW, I contacted Kinetix last week regarding this IM on the '05+ 300hp engine, and the reply was that they never tested it and will make no promises regarding any gains. I for one am waiting on the 350evo IM, even if it's next year.

Almost avoid making comments. I was involved in the initial testing of the "prototype" SSV and final product before release. Prior to the SSV I had the Kinetix V1 - V4. Many question the numbers and the testing/switch from V4 to "prototype". As with the Vortech SC, the numbers each of us obtain is in the tuning. Ryan at Speed Dreams here in Albuquerque, while keeping it safe got the numbers reflected in the dyno graph below. Does it look good? Yes! Is there an increase in throttle response? Yes! Increase in rwhp for me with SSV Vs SSV? Yes! Can I tell you to buy? I will leave that decision to you. But if I had it to do over again, would I buy? Yes!

If you want to see numbers showing V4, "prototype" and SSV comparison I can either post of you can do a search using: SungNamZ

Good job reviving an old thread.

BTW, Stainless Steel intake manifold FTL. So stupid

Yeah except that when it gets hot, it stays hot and gets hotter than aluminum does because of that slow thermal peroperties. Stainelss steel is the WORST material in the world for an intake manifold.

Ever wonder why most manifolds made (on stock) and aftermarket are all aluminum? Not because it's cheaper, because it's better. I remember showing this manifold to a guy who makes the best DSM and EVO and STI intake manifolds and he just about **** laughing when he saw the stainless steel.

DUMB.
