Default Custom 3" true dual exhaust w/HKS TI mufflers

I just had a custom 3" true dual exhaust installed in my G. I previously had the Greddy EVO II, but it was too restrictive for my set up. At 16psi with the EVO II I only made 430whp. When the Evo II was disconnected from the test pipes the car made 543whp at 12.5psi. With the 3" exhaust the car pulls much harder, but it still running rich......9.9:1 above 3700 rpms at WOT. I am going to get the current tune leaned out in the high 10's low 11's. Without the Evo II the car was running a little lean so I was hoping with the 3" exhaust it would get to where it needed to be. I will have the car retuned next week and post the new dyno numbers. I can't imagine what it is going to feel like after that, cause the car is pretty nutty right now. Here are some pics.

Underneath view from the rear

View of exhaust tips from the rear. There is a big space between the tips and the car because the tips were positioned with my Top Secret Rear bumper on the car. I am getting the body kit installed soon.

How loud is it in the cockpit?
Does it drone at highway speed?
What brand are the fore position resonators?

How loud is it in the cockpit?
Yes the bad news. I lost the quietness I had with the EVO II. This new exhaust is loudest up to 2500 RPMS and then it is not that loud unless it is pegged.

Does it drone at highway speed?
No drone at highway speeds

What brand are the fore position resonators?
Don't know, but I can find out tomorrow when I go to pick up my old exhaust at the muffler shop.

Thanx, my G specs are similar , just with an APS TT and 9:1 CR, the Borla TD I have is "hugely" inadequate flow wise, so I'm looking for a good compromise , flow vs. loudness. I assume your TPs are 3"? The APS versions comeing out are suppose to be 3.5 (at least on the DP side). Those could also offer some flow improvement.

A single (even @ 3") is inadequate flow for 16psi.

It is loud but not all that loud. I was just getting kinda used to the quietness the Evo II had. I would have gone with the APS if it was available, but I could not wait 2 or 3 months. I asked my muffler shop for 3.5" test pipes, but he could not make them so I got 3" TP's.

What ever you say. You didn't drive my car to see how it would stop making power at 4500 RPMS when I had the old exhaust. The difference is night and day now.

I don't care for the angled tips either, but because the muffler are so long there is no other way to position them. At least with the rear bumper it does not look as angled.

you kidding? it's a built motor and should be pushing over 500whp, and that's not enough power to justify that exhaust setup?

Dude...awesome setup! Did you go to Miami Mufflers for all the work for the exhaust? It looks like it from your pictures! Either way they do a pretty darn good job....question though, did you get the exhaust tips from them, or did you buy it and bring it too them?

You gained 100hp by disconnecting the exhaust alone? Yeah that system is a lil restrictive.
I like the custom setup.

Yeah Miami muffler is a great shop. They have been in business for like 20 years. I bought the mufflers from Sharif @ www.forgedinternals.com.
