Smile Will these mods drop low-mid range torque?

OK...real newbie here...first post. I picked up my Z 10 days ago. '05, Silverstone Enthusiast. I am putting on the Rogue short shifter with a yet-to-be-determined **** and would like to add the Popcharger with an appropriate exhaust system. Here is the question: Is there an exhaust that, when installed in conjunction with the Popcharger, keep the low and mid-range torque (or maybe increase it slightly)? I really LIKE the stock torque of this motor and don't want to lose it for the sake of high rpm gains. Additionally, I don't want TOO much of an increase in the exhaust noise....a little more than stock is fine...but not like some of the 70's muscle cars I played with back then. Thanks, in advance, for any help and ideas.

Gary

P.S. Newbie in the 350Z world...I had a new 1983 280Z back then and turned it into a screamer...that was fun...and gas was cheaper...'course, I was younger then too.

All intake and exhaust modifications will alter the torque curve. Exactly how is just a guess until you study the before and after dyno charts.

I don't want TOO much of an increase in the exhaust noise

Attend a local Z-meet and listen to various set-ups before you buy.

I appreciate your response D....There is a guy at my office who is a member of the local Z- Club and they are having a function in late Sept. so I plan on attending. Having modified Harley's for years, I am well aware of what some folks want and then what they actually get...not always the same. Most of what I've seen in my area so far is either complete stockers or highly modified. Just looking for someone who may have made the mods similar to what I'm looking for. Thanks, again.

Get a Nismo exhaust along with the Pop-charger. You shouldnt lose TQ really, Id say same power down low with a little more midrange and top-end....dont do a dual exhaust you will lose TQ then, but gain a little more top-end.

Thanks, Alberto.....I was leaning that way, but I noticed a few of the folks were'nt happy with that choice.....again maybe going back to what they thought they were getting vs what they wanted....I want that torque curve that comes from the factory....seems real flat and comes on nice and low in the rpm's. You may have helped make up my mind....thanks, again.

I can tell you that the Fujitsubo Legalis-R exhaust will give you a nice deep rumble on acceleration and WOT, but will not change the idle or cruising noise much. I have had mine for about a year and it is a very nice exhaust system to live with everyday.
