Default Intense Resonated Pipes

Does anyone have any experience with these? I've been wanting to get rid of the stock cats but have been worried about raspiness. These seem very resonable for being resonated. Curious about the build and fit quality.

Wouldn't surprise me, everything is outsourced nowadays made in the same factory labeled different brand names.

You can get the exact same pipes from ebay for 80-90 bucks! Go do a search for megan racing test pipes. I dont recoment them, the welds to the resonators cracked on mine and a friends. Though some people have no problems, mine seemed very cheap.

I was worried about the build quality. I rather spend more and do it right the first time. Who else makes resonated pipes?

labree, makes high quality ones from what I hear. Also XERD will be comming out with some resonated pipes pretty soon from what I hear, I like them over others b/c they bolt up to the stock cat bracket.

The description on those test pipes says it might cause the check engine light to go on... it says it's not a prob for 03-04 but I have an 05.. hmmm don't think I want to deal with the check light on constantly.. anyone have these with no probs?

I think the main problem was I had the Nismo exhaust on the megan pipes. They arnt HIGH quality, but should still hold up. The Nismo puts more pressure on the pipes than other exhausts from what I read, so the welds just couldnt take it I guess. Two options you have with Nismo exhaust on megan pipes is to have a shop heat the pipes till there red and let them mold to the exhaust, or have some brackets welded on.

I have the Kinetix resonated test-pipes and so far so good. I purchased the resonated test-pipes because I don't care for too much raspiness. Even though it's paired with my Injen exhaust it can get a bit loud. Different cat-back systems that are mated to test-pipes may or may not sound very raspy.
Bogart and I are both local, so if you need to take a listen let me know.

i'm taking the pipes off. One of the gaskets already blew and they have an annoying rasp even with being resonated. Ah well, atleast they werent that expensive...

I didnt have much rasp at all with my megans, just that nifty crack at the welds

If you got them from e-bay for the 80-90 bucks you can probably sell them for around there and not lose much money.
