where did u hear that?

 

i have the 05 track plenum and yeah there is a small loss of torque but it happens at 2k-2500k rpm. when u are racing... u dont race at those rpm's. its such a low loss that you don't even feel it. plus i have the dc haders which make 11.2lb./ft. across the entire rev band so its more of an advantage to me than a loss. my 2 cents,

 

I just got the Crawford installed last week , I am really impressed .... it seems to rev faster and I can bark the tires in forth gear now. gains more up top...547.00 after taxes , STB is nice shiny and the Cast stays cool, I can drive for hours then open hood and touch plenum nice , stock plenum HOT yow burt my finger. Cooler air in the intake is a good thing.I will get the cats next look identical to stock , Crawford has his sh*t together Doug is a cool guy and wil answer any question you have about install, lucky me I live close so he put it all on for me for free.....just shows he is good to deal with .

 

I've read about this in a couple of threads, don't remember where. I also talked to Doug Stewart (Crawford) about this. He told me he had tried to use the new lower plenum, and has tried to tune around it without success on the 287HP motor. When Doug talks, I listen.
