its typical marketing. "Pop Charger" sounds much more powerful than short ram intake w/ heat shield. and its a lot easier to say.

does the pop charger have the same problem as the cold air, in regards to water going into the engine?

Uhh...considering that the PC is inside the engine bay, if someone has water ingestion issues there, they better be damn good swimmers!

It does make a noticable different at WOT and past 3800 rpm. At idle and cruise it sounds the same. The new sound is louder and meaner.

I have the Nismo CAI and my filter is right in front of the driverside front tire. I have never had a water problem even driving through some unbelievable rain storms!

OMG! ICTYGHBIWMZTAASAP. DTW. DDWFMMW. WNR, ITTB. DWRCTWWIUTLE!

(...that means, "Oh My God! I can't tell you guys how badly I want my Z to arrive as soon as possible. D@mn this wait. D@mn Denver weather for making me wait. Well not really, I take that back. Denver weather rocks compared to Wisconsin where I used to live earlier!")

Hehehe!

Oren, I actually figured out the WOT just recently myself as well; like a week ago or so. Acronyms are a hilarious thing!

BTW, I just installed the JWT Pop Charger. I didn't oil it, does it come oiled or not from the manufacturer (like K & N does before they ship them)? Thanks.

yup. If the filter element is blue in color, it's oiled. JWT uses a blue oil, K&N uses a red one.
