Update: Just took the car to SGP, and Mark said the smoke is normal. He said the factory ECU is dumping lots of fuel because it thinks the mixture is lean. He recommended that I get the ECU reflashed and it will be fine. Weird thing is the smoke looks white/blue from within the car looking through the rear-view, but the smoke is actually black (fuel) when standing outside the car. I had some buildup on the back bumper and he said it was definitely excess fuel because the buildup was dry, dust-like.

If you guys experience this when you install test pipes, don't freak out.

I am getting the ECU reflashed this week and will let you guys know the outcome. Mark says he always performs a baseline dyno run to compare the reflash results with. I will post both dyno's. One interesting fact is that the ECU will dump so much fuel that it will actually cause you to lose all the HP you gained by adding the test pipes.

Big Thanks to Mark at SGP for checking the car out!

I love my test pipes, great gains and deep sound but it can get a bit raspy. That smell is horrible the first month that you have it (depending on how much you drive) but it will die down a bit, however you will always smell a little bit of gas. I definetly think it's worth the price for vastly increased flow.

Thanks for the follow-up. The ECU is one smart little gizmo. Before you jump into programming the ECU, I recommend that you wait several hundred miles, and see if you are still running rich. If so, then have the air:fuel ratio corrected.
