Default Intake for an 06

I was wanting to get a k&n intake but noticed they dont have one for the 06 yet. I was wondering if the 05 intake kit would fit the 06?

What all comes with the pop charger? Is it just the filter and box?

I see no problem installing the K&N Typhoon Air Intake.

I like the Nismo intake. Higher priced but Nismo name and quality. Also installed at the dealership doesn't void warranty.

Pop Charger > all other intake systems.

David is that red pipe coming from the bumper an extension of the Air intake? Or did you add that seperately? What is your impression of the K & N Air intake?

The typhoon kit keeps the air filter in the same place but runs a pipe down behind the bumper to give the added effects of a cold air intake.

Hmm I like that concept. I wonder how much more HP it makes than the JWT. Probably not much.

The tube in front is part of the kit. It goes to a scoop located behind the grill. The Typhoon meets my criteria:

1. Ambient air from outside the engine bay
2. Location of the filter is easy for cleaning

Yes. I’m pleased with the performance.

Good stuff david. Looks like I may have to seriously consider this intake. I like the way it's set up.

Everything you eat will turn to poop. All of your children will be born naked.
Your gas mileage will drop and your engine will have to work harder to breathe.

Every 3 months for a filter cleaning?!?! Where do you live, downtown Baja?

Clean it about twice a year if you're just street driving. These things can get pretty dirty before you notice any decrease in performance.
