Question X-Pipe: Choice

Yes I did a search before anyone says anything

My question isn't so much about what they do but I have two questions...

1) Do any companies actually make an X-pipe that can be simply installed or do they have to be custom from a exhaust shop?

2) I was considering doing this while the stock exhaust was on or should I wait? I plan on getting the Helix exhaust hopefully sometime after my birthday (March).

What do you guys recommend? Thanks for any input.

In order to have an X pipe you need to have a dual exhaust. Most TD exhaust systems have a X or H pipe already. Stock system is a single pipe from the Y pipie back. Hope this helps.

ur best bet would to have one custom made. A good muffer place cna make u a good one for 200-300 bucks which would be cheaper than the 2 y-pipe thing.
I did research on this and a 2.5 -> 3.5 -> 2.5 X-pipe was one of my thoughts.. I went against it b/c TD exhausts are over rated. :-D!

I did see someone start a thread of some work done but it didn't appear to be dual exhaust. Maybe I missed something, I'm not sure. I'll try looking into it some more.

Magnaflow now makes stainless steel x-pipes. Check their website for details.

i just got an x-pipe off of ebay from an ebay store, 2.5", and it's great. i mean when you think about it the looks of an x-pipe don't really matter, nobody's gonna see it, ill let you know how it sounds when i install it, but the thing was 29 shipped, you cant go wrong for that price, even if it turns out poorly its no big loss.
