Kinetix high-flow catalytic converters are a good fit. Plenty of clearance. See: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....hlight=headers.

Crawford are good all around...

Kintex... meh... I've heard of them collapsing on more than 1 occasion. Maybe they fixed the problem?

Helix, good, except no bracket to attach to OEM brace. I had to make my own... cost me $10. I've had them for on for about 8 months now and like them a lot! You get use to the rasp between 2-4k rpm, it doesn't sound like anything, IMO. The engine does feel stronger mid-way to the top.

I chose HELIX for two reasons. Stainless Steel construction/ 200 cell metal substrates

what about Random technologies?

There have been posts on here about people buying the Helix ones and having to bang them into place because of poor fitment.

Haven't really read anything negative about the Crawfords.

you know, kinetix uses magnaflow converters and welds on their own piping, to save a LOT of money I just went and bought 2 of the magnaflow converters and I'm having my local exhaust shop weld them on for me with 2.5" piping, i got them for $121 shipped, and its only going to be 50 for the install, saves you a BUTTLOAD of money and you get the same product...

I've been running the Random Tech cats for around 18 months. I think that most vendors stopped carrying them due to the guts collapsing. Knock on wood, no problems yet. The quality seemed really good, I never really compared the build to any other cats. As far as sound goes, I think that it really brought the Nismo to life!

magnaflow cats huh? how much did the 2 cats cost you and whered you get them from? that doesnt sound like a bad idea at all.. please post pics when youre done!

other than that, i think i will go with kinetix cats because i was afraid there was poor fitment or bad quality.. but it seems like theres not
