Default Please advice: Plenum Spacer Question.

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the repeated question but which plenum spacer if any would you recommend for me?

I am in Japan and perhaps the JDM uses a different ECU setup than the USDM 350z. Due to this, Im not sure if the plenum spacer will work for my car. Secondly, I do not know of any tuner in Japan that has used a spacer or sells them. Reading all the post here, the spacer sounds like a well worth mod. Please let me know what you think.

Btw, my car has only a cat back Fujitsubo and an air intake system.

Thank you.

I just ordered AAM spacer and my Z is JDM also... It should work fine for our cars regardless of the version. you might face a slightly clearence issue with AAM, but it isnt a big deal to fix.

you can aslo try MD spacer. you cant go wrong with either one.

Study the Z Sport Magazine plenum vs plenum spacer shoot out published here. Then make a decision.

Thanks for the feedback. I have read the threads about this but I am confused by the terms used. What is a Rev Up lower plenum and Non rev up plenum etc??

I am leaning towards the Motordyne 1/4 spacer. Is this all that is needed for the car with this mod? I mean I buy the kit and nothing else needs to be changed, right?

md doesn't offer 1/4 anymore, only 5/16 and 1/2. do a pre-install dyno, install the spacer with the car on the dyno, then do a post-install dyno.
rev-up is the 300hp vq. nonrev is 287.
