Diesel, is yours with the "plus" upgrade package? I do a lot of motorway driving and hardly any in the city...we'll see!
Yes mine is the plus upgrade. The great thing about his mod also is you can sell your lower plenum that you replace to someone else wanting it for their 287 engine.

Has it actually been proven that the 300hp lower plenum is beneficial to the non revup motors? I'll see if someone over here in italy (not many Zs around..) is interested in this swap...Diesel, how much did you sell yours for?

Sold mine for $200. It actually has not been completely proven but in the Sport Magazine they dynoed the 300 Rev up Plenum on the 287 engine and it did show some gains.

No, a spacer won't do much on the 06 if you have the manual which has the 300 HP.

You need a spacer and the 287 lower plenum which is called the MREV.

the enthusiast is the 287hp? if yes, then slap a 1/2" spacer on it and you're good to go.

He has an 06 so it's the 300HP model if he has the manual.

Its not just a matter of installing the 287 lower manifold. Its also machined out differently.

Yes. That picture shows the standard MREV.

The MREV+ has a machined collector. The machining process increases the flow area in the most critical area of the plenum. The additional flow area increases area under the HP curve.

It doesn't increase the Peak HP value much, but it does increase area under the curve and also reduces (or eliminates) the dip seen at the last ~600 RPM with the regular MREV.

There are many dynos of both types on this board.
