Default Why go w/ Single Tip

I notice a lot of people are running the single tip exhaust. Not flaming but wondering why you all like this? I'm just partial to the dual tip exhaust myself.

Less piping = lighter weight

Every pound counts, you would be surprised how much weight you can save off of exhaust piping especially going with titanium

If every pound counts than people would be spending mad money on personal weight lost. Also I just don't get into it that much to where I'm paying the money for Ti exhaust just to save weight for Test & tune night.

I weigh 160, so I dont have to worry about the Subway diet Although, back on topic dual tends to look better than single IMO, but the lighter exhaust systems are single ti. If you are running a FI system, then go with a dual Ti system for weight savings and more hP potential

I had the single Ti/SS JIC system and it was real light compared to the stock parts I took off. I liked the look better than tryin to save weight.

Because the OEM exhaust has two outlets. People want to be different so they go with one. If the OEM exhaust has one outlet, people who search for a exhaust with two.

The singles weigh less and keep the stock Z note better than duals. And it straight up looks vicious.

I used to think the same thing about single pipes. Over time it grew on me and I now understand and think they look sick. It seems like an FI thing to do.

I would do it for looks, but not weight considering my Z is still street driven as has things like radio, AC, stock leather seats, etc. If I were looking to drop massive weight on the Z, I'd start by stripping the interior before going with a single Ti exhaust. That being said I do like many of the singles I've seen out there.

Did you know that you can flow more exhaust out of a single 3" exhaust than out of two 2.5" pipes. Also, with half the piping comes half the weight. Even if you use a y-pipe, midpipe, and dual exhaust the flow is slowed down by the splitting of exhaust into two pipes. I just wish that more companies made a titanium single exhaust for the Z.

speaking of Ti, is HKS system Ti? all of the pipe? or just the muffler?
