Am I wasting my time and money??
if you can get 30whp with 2500 - 3000 dollars thats 100 dollars per horsepower extracted...
$100/whp is basically a universal ratio for car preformance tuning feasibility...
headers you will gain the most power from, but h/i/e/tp/spacer you can gain about what 20whp? now you will save weight over stock too so if you dont get the 20whp then calculate how many lbs you striped off... basically count 10lbs per hp.. h/i/e/tp/spacer will probably save you around 30-50lbs and thats 3-5 hp (freed, so it doesnt show up on the dyno)
now pulley, you will feel the throttle response and engine is more free revving... whp gain is barely any...
chip claims 5-9hp... and raises rev limiter to 7100 (good overall mod and supposedly makes everything more efficient)
now if you get all those, how about clutch and fly wheel... a good flywheel will make your engine rev faster and shed weight ... thus freeing up horsepower again. How about light weight wheels and brake parts? Shedding spun weight is more effective than shedding dead weight.
Think about the overall package instead of just WHP numbers is also a good way to approach tuning...

if youre auto, find someone whos turbo'd or sc'd and trade pumpkins with them (rear diff). theyll need your 3.3 for better traction, and you get their 3.5 to make you quicker. do not go with 3.9 if youre 5at. many threads on this. free mod
Jvanquish: what should i do? i just wanted to do sum small stuff b.c i dont have the money to do F/I to my whipp and its an A/T so idk what else there is to upgrade...im gettin volks soon maybe b4 spring time but thats why i made this thread so i know what to do wit my performance mods....
my weight saving numbers were estimated too high unless you are buying titanium exhaust i think...
like nismo exhaust weight saving is only 9lbs....
but test pipes > stock cats does save you some weight
so will aftermarket headers
try what you are proposing if you dont like it resale value of those parts should be very good that you will recover most of the cost of it for trial and error purposes?
im thinking alone the same parameters to upgrade my car... but im a fanatic about driving feel instead of brute force(whp #'s) so proabably Tilton clutch/fly kit, pulleys and reflash for me... i am not sure which plenum but im sure when i visit AAM they will try to push theirs to me lol

Yeah this is a better idea. I forgot about the 6 speed turbo guys.
