injen intake
Ive searched, but had to luck to finding a intake install. Im sure its on here, but yeah.... but my question is, for the injen cai, do you need to remove the front bumper to remove the resonator, and if so, how many screws hold the bumper in? Thanks
Some people take the bumper off, some don't and I have seen discussion for and against both methods.
When I did mine, I did not take my bumper off. I did the everything up to and including the big elbow hose from the top.
To get the elbow through the hole, hold the elbow hose at the elbow like you might strangle it, with your thumbs on the outside. Push your thumbs into it and use your fingers to straighten it out. Now push it though the hole letting your fingers and thumbs free when you get the elbow to the hole and it should re-bend just right.
I put the car up on ramps to do the underside by taking the 14 bolts and one clip off and removing the lower engine cover. Then you take out the one diffuser on the drivers side and attach the last aluminum tube where the clip came out of the diffuser and attach your filter.
Its a lot of words to do a simple thing.

i tried it with the bumper on but it was easier to simply remove the bumper.
also if you want to do what i did you will need to remove the bumper.
i opted to bolt my injen filter to the car rather than use the plastic pushpin.
once you get into the install you will understand what i am talking about. it
is far more stable that way and doesn't shift or move around.
