Default Injen SES True Dual

Well i finally ordered my exhaust last saturday hopefully it will be in friday and put on saturday, but just a quick question for you fellow Z owners that have this exhaust

Was it worth the cash (meaning does the sound and performance you get from it)?

from the sound clips that are all over the net i keep getting diffrent fealings for it some clips are nice some sound like sh--.

Who here thinks it would be a bad idea to get some tesp pipes to go with it.
just to give it a beeffy sound.

i had this exhaust w/RT cats and i loved it...i'm not a fan of test pipes though b/c of the raspy sound you get w/them and also since you would have to change them out for emmisions testing/inspections...

Very pleased with the price, quality of materials, fit and performance. See https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....ders+installed for photos. Believe that the new Injen cat-back has an H-pipe.

I also have the Injen SES and high flow cats, and I love the sound. I would assume that most of the bad sound clips you have heard are probably cars with test pipes.

If you are interested in performance, get rid of the OEM catalytic converters. If you decide high-flow catalytic converters or test pipes, you can do the install all at once.

I have the old style, without the H pipe, and love it!

The exhaust is freaking awesome man and I think you'll get use to the loudness. I know when you get it installed and put the pedal to the metal shifting at the redline, you'll have a grin from ear to ear. Just like they said you have to eliminate those stock cats with RC's or TP's to get rid of that back pressure. Good Choice!

I have no doubt people have this exhaust and love it, however after hearing this exhaust paired with kinetix resonated test pipes, I personally think it sounds HORRIBLE. it is loud, raspy and very obnoxious. It is the worst sounding aftermarket exhaust I have heard on a Z. I thought the quality of welds and flanges look good, but the piping is extremely small (less than 2") and there is no H-pip or X-pipe to help the low end power. I think it is a poor choice of exhausts.

I think the 3rd gen Injen setup looks very promising
