Appreciate all the hard engineering work...

Hey, Edison tried over 1000 times before he had a light bulb that was worthwhile!

Is that peak? That's puts you @ 306whp and 268 ft/lb tq based off your last dyno? Congrats!

Acutally when I subscribed to this thread, Doug had not commented yet on it not being cost effctive. Glad I could provide some humor though.

Got to give you guys credit for trying to take n/a to another level. Even if it didn't work out that is damn admirable of you guys to attempt. Things like this are the reason you guys are so well respected and appreciated. All which is well deserved in my opinion. Keep up th e good work

Let me see if I can answer some of these questions

what are you doing with the prototype?
File 13 ?

So is that what is in the works next.....a LARGER TB
Yes looking into that now it looks like the way to get this eng over the 300 rwhp mark

Could you explain how you were able to run dual throttlebodies synchronized?
Wired them together but if it was to be done permanently you would have to use some sort of amplifier.

So if anybody can find a throttle body off a 04 - 06 Q 45 on the cheap call me, maybe we can get that to work.

It hit 298.7 corrected rwhp peak and made about 10 rwhp in places with a rough tune, so there is defiantly something there.

So if im not mistaken you made 10 whp over your current plenum you offer, on a rough tune? You should throw it my way, i'm aching to see what it does on the rev-up motors, despite the $/hp ratio. With enough time and better engine management, you can easily break into the 300's, no?

Yes this is true but I think there is a better and less expensive way to get it done

Crawford: Can you please tell me why, nor you, or any other company in the USA has manufactured a true ITB system for the Z?

Im asking because it seems like people are putting alot of effort into the z market, and alot of money, why hasnt it been done?

Mario, I believe it is because of the cost. I think it would be very cost prohibitive to do this for the gains that would be achieved.

Everyone keeps saying cost, but I have yet to hear that from someone who actually put alot of effort into trying to make it.

Do some research on the Tommy Kiara ITB setup. They made one for the Z, but I dont think they ever sold it to the public because it was too expensive. Soneone else with more knowledge on this please chime in.

Oh, Dougrace Zs is Doug from Crawford so I think he should know if it would be expensive or not to do this!

If I am not mistaken that TK ITB setup was the same price if not more than a good twin turbo setup and I am sure that tuning on an ITB is not very easy.
