Are you talking about:

1. JDM Nissan/OEM parts?
2. JDM aftermarket parts?
3. You think "JDM" is a parts company?

I think you're talking about 3.

I still don't think you get it. There is no company 'JDM.' Your just looking for aftermarket parts and you can search the classifieds section or you can search for the various options to each component you are interested in. There is TONS of info available on this site and on the other 350z sites as well. It all depends on you in terms of what you get:

1. how much do you want to spend?
2. after reading customer reviews, which product do you feel more comfortable with?
3. there may be a longer wait for certain products and do you want to wait?

just some things for you to consider...take your time and then decide

I would say they're garbage. And if you're still leaning towards buying a "no-name" product from ebay, check out this thread, and hopefully you'll change your mind:

BTW, I have heard the headers are a PITA to install.

jdm headers will likely not fit on a usdm model. driving on the wrong side of the road makes for a different fit of steering components.

just get nismo stuff or hks, greddy/trust, amuse, apexi, or one of the others. they are all JAPANESE companies.

That could be true. However, in this case, I think he's using "JDM" as a marketing term. I don't think there's anything JDM about these components! So they "should" fit, but I still wouldn't buy them.

I'm sorry to burst your bubble. These are the kind of people that feed on the innocent/ignorant. Ebay scammers will post whatever word will get them to the top of your search, in this case the buzz word is "JDM". People who kind of hang around car sites see this word all the time and associate it with high performance, but have no idea what it really means.

I once found some scammer on ebay who said he had a "JDM" part for his 350Z (I can't remember what it was). It turns out that I knew this part was the same for the USDM (that's United States Domestic Market) and the JDM. So I called him out on it, needless to say he wasn't too happy.

Don't get scammed, that's what forums like this are for.

Yeah, after reviewing the ebay exhaust thread above. The pictured exhaust in the auction thread was the Megan Racing exhaust. The one he received was a cheaper than crap rendition. Megan Racing might be cheaper than a lot of other companies like Greddy or HKS, but they still make quality products. I bought a Megan Racing exhaust manifold and O2 housing for my Evo VIII and it was top notch quality. I had it looked at my a custom welder with 20 years experience. He said it was good quality.
You have to definately be careful on ebay.

It has been a slight headache, im glad im a case example now! woot

Yes, they are no-name, as long as you understand this go ahead... it not going to be a simple bolt on process, things will be changed and modified and parts will be hacked, shipping will be slow! People will ridicule you for trying something new... if you can deal with all of the above go for it, if not your better off spending the extra money ... I personally didnt see the point since it is only going to be on my car for 6 mos until i go FI in which time i am going with a SFR HKS dual. Now i am re welding tips, modifying hangers, and having fun getting a good sounding exhaust for under 500 shipped with mods. not to mention i have a buddy who will sell his HKS carbon TI (authentic) muffler for 180 slightly used with 3" inlet and have a cool single option too.

As for the JDM... EBAY + JDM = SCAM or TEASE to someone who doesnt know. understand that. JDM = japanese domestic market meaning its OEM in Japan... J-Spec means its what is offered for aftermarket if installed on an OEM car. that is the original definition from back in the day. It can technicaly be a JDM part if its produced over there for their domestic market but many true JDM ****** only consider OEM from the car manufacturer to be true JDM and the Japan Specification part to be the aftermarket world.
