On their website it says that the intake isn't available yet, but they just may be slow updating.

Website: http://www.aempower.com

Phone (the best way I've found to contact them):

(310) 484-2322

Just keep bugging em' until they start shipping, it never hurts!

Default Called AEM...................

I called AEM last week and they informed me they do have the systems in red, blue and grey/silver available now. Polished will be 8 to 12 more weeks.

They informed me who the distributor was for Arizona. I went over to Desert Rat Offroad performance on Cave Creek and Bell and ordered the grey/silver AEM CAI for $240 plus tax and shipping, total $275. I should have it by the middle of this week.

However, I need some help. I have done plenty of work on classic car restoration, but nothing really on new cars. AEM is giving me the install instructions, but I was wondering if anyone has done an AEM install? If you have, could you give me some insight, or an easier way the directions do not address.

Do I have to reset anything like the MAF, or just install, start car, idle for 15-20 minutes and it will reset itself?

Any help please post here or pm. Thank you.

Default For the ones in the know

One other question I have for anyone who might be in-the-know, is it designed anything like the Injen intake (i.e. does anyone have any pictures) ... does it end up in the front grill?

Thank you in advance for a better explaination.

not sure if the filter will be around the grill opening area, guess we will find out soon!

if anyone's got them, post some pics!

It's between INJEN or AEM now...

Thanks!

I am going to wait until the SRI's start getting some feedback. I had one on my RSX Type-S and noticed a relatively significant amount of gain. I think the dyno's had it about 5-8 WHP or so. The volume alone was worth the money though. If the CAI are getting only 10 hp or so why not wait for the SRI, save about a hundred dollars, and get 5. Just my opinion.
