Default Cost for HFC install??

Could someone give me an idea at what i am looking at to have some Crawford HFC's installed? I think i got screwed on the install price of my Borla TD, so i dont wanna make the same mistake twice. I live in SOCAL (SD) so if anyone has any suggestions of good places please let me know. I searched "HFC install price" and got about 800 hits so sorry if its a repost. THANKS

I'd say its about 1 1/2-2 hrs labor so maybe $100-$200. but if you've got the tools and a friend to help you out, you should be able to do this in your driveway in about 2-3 hrs.

Its a pretty simple install. 5 bolts off. 5 bolts on. Change oxygen sensor. One hour labor at most

I paid $75CDN to get them put on. I went back to the same place that installed my Borla TD($150CDN) so they gave me a good deal.

You might need a torch or one of those air tools to unbolt any sturbon bolts. I started out trying to install my catback myself and got one bolt off with a lot of work and squirming. But I just couldn't get the other bolt off because it was in such a wierd angle on the other side that there was no leverage for my tools. I ended up taking it to a shop and they used a torch to loosen the bolt.

if it takes a professional shop w/ all the tools 2hrs to do it, you're getting raped in the *** w/o lube

I'd agree, which is why I did it myself. however I seriously doubt a first timer could do this install on jacks in 1 hour. the top bolts are a b!tch to get to and get off, you def need a few extensions and someone to guide the socket to the bolt. plus those o2 sensors are ridiculously hard to get loose, even with the o2 wrench.

I'd still say do it yourself, but if you you've never done it before. be sure to lookup the DIY on this forum.

I agree with everyone saying $60-75. I can't see the job taking more than one hour for a shop.

i had an open old school shop do it, where i stood under the car with the mechanic while he did the job, took like 20 minutes...
but if you goto a 'legit' closed shop... figure an hour cuz thats how they make $
