I'm sure most people would agree but the stock exhaust system isn't all that restrictive so I don't see why you wouldn't see gains. I don't have a plenum spacer yet but it is next on my mod list

I previously had a Kinetix V4 plenum with the stock exhaust, and noticed big gains high in the RPM range (over 4500rpm). So yes, the spacer will be worth it with the stock exhaust.

The results will be similar regardless of other mods.

amacahilig the 5/16 spacer will fit under the stock strut brace. Also if you have an 06 you will have to get the MREV kit, hope this helps.

It does fit under the strut bar but a few of us unlucky people have had problems with the hood slightly bulging. All cars are slightly different so you may or may not have a problem.

If I lower the STB so the hood doesn't bulge the intake manifold will rub STB every once and awhile. When I raise it so it doesn't rub the manifold the hood bulges slightly.

When I say "bulges" what I mean is the hood sits slightly higher than the quarter panels. It's not that big of deal but when you look at the car from the side you can see that the hood is higher. It wouldn't bother most people but when you have O.C.D. like me it does!

No. The MREV is for the REVUP motor. The AT's have the 287 motor.

So what you need is a plenum spacer. 5/16" is the most common option because you can keep your stock strut bar in place.

Ahh thanks. Now if only I'd have chosen the 6spd.

A spacer alone doesn't do anything for a revup engine. A revup engine must have the MREV to make a real change.

And it works very well.

I just got the AAM Spacer and intake. Sounds really good and I feel a small gain on the "Butt Dyno" lol Besides that, I am all stock, but the 3.9 final drive and the JWT clutch and flywheel

Why do people always write 'i'm all stock, except for flywheel and gears and this and that'. It's almost as bad as people who think having a twin turbo w/ 30lbs of boost is lightly modified

Because I have no other bolt ons, such as the exhaust, cats etc.
