Default PIT 350z Exhaust came in

Well I decided to take a risk step and test out a cheap and affordable exhaust on my Turbo 350z. Granted its a cheap exhaust and most will refuse to run something like that on cars like ours, but I had noting to loose but my time. The exhaust came wrapped/packaged very very well. The welds on the exhaust are robotic welds but still look fairly decent. For 250 bucks you cant ask for much more. Personally I felt guilty paying so little it is an extremely nice piece for the $$$$. For those that want a cheap bang for your buck this piece is it. Ill be installing once my car gets back to me next week. Ill even dyno it. Ill run the car at stock boosted TN specs with stock exhaust hp. anywhere from 350-380ish hp

I'm pretty sure it's 3" piping on that exhaust just like the Megan and Topspeed Pro-1.

I measured, and the pipe is 70mm (2 3/4") where it attaches to the Y pipe and continues back where it expands to 80mm, or just slightly larger than 3" for the last 20" of the mid pipe and curving into the primary muffler.

sorry, but that looks horrible - it looks like a typical civic ending - a small ***** sized tip with some huge fart cannon around it to make it look big

...I think thats due to the silencers.

Well, that's pretty much the appearence of any N1 style system that uses baffled canister units to terminate the system. Have you ever looked at a Supertrapp? It ain't for decoration, it actually performs a function, unlike loads of exhaust systems that have small diameter piping throughout and end with a tacked on 4 inch diameter tip. Take a good look at the stock system and all of it's derivative systems. Now THAT looks bogus!

The look isn't my cup of tea either. It doesn't really fit or integrate with the back of the car at all. Those big resonators after the muffler only shows how inefficient and poorly designed it truly is, and to have to add silencers only proves, it. The price alone would worry me about overall quality of the components, not that it has to cost $1,000 to be worth it, but a muffler that size, built properly, should cost almost $200 by itself if not more.

I bet the system sounds different every few days over the next few to several weeks and likely gets louder and drones over the next month. It'll likely get loud and trumpet when the car gets hot and is driven for long periods as well - then the silencers will come in handy.

Do let us know how it goes. The traditional system, with smaller piping going into 4" or larger tips, is a really bad argument though...this system isn't any different - hey it's got a 5"-6" resonator housing reducing to a 4" silencer/tip combo?????

Here's some pics and clips of a new system coming up as well...the sponsorship is being done this week and the group buy should happen this week as well. More info coming.
