Default Decent true dual exhaust

Hey guys,
I need your input on what exhaust I should get for my vortech G. I know going true dual is the best way, but paying over a grand seems a little excessive for just exhaust. Is there any decent true dual systems out there that are reasonably priced? I don't need any titanium or w/e, SS is fine. I'm looking strictly for performance. Thanks in advance.

Custom requires my car to be in the shop while they fab it though. Does anyone out there still have a jig for one of their custom exhausts that they can produce another kit from?

if ss was not a concern you could could get away pretty cheap. also depends on the mufflers you are using. custom is not always the cheapest. my 3" duals cost me over $2500 to build. so believe me, the price i am asking for my exhausts is as low as i can price it to even be worth my while.
if you went aluminized steel the material cost goes WAY down, especially since you will double your material doing a dual set up. if you also use off brand mufflers, you can save some money. going with mig instead of tig welds will also bring your costs down in labor.
you might lose a little bling and add more weight, but you could save a good amount of money.

isn't aluminum lighter then SS? Why don't people do aluminum more often?

Why not offer aluminized steel as an option for your exhausts? Personally the bling factor is of little concern and the performance that it is capable is my main focus.

Im thinking the same thing. Why not offer both styles? I might be interested in an aluminized steel version of your exhaust as I cannot currently afford the other

unless you wanna work out a sponsorship deal LOL

i am definately thinking of doing that. not sure though on my system if just the offset in material cost would drop the price all that much. the X pipe i make is about the same cost as both mufflers and both resonators. so the build costs would be the same on both. for a $200+- difference, i would rather keep the stainless.
now i have also entertained making a bare bones exhaust. with no X pipe and using aluminized, but we would need to redesign a few things. that would definately put a dual 3" around $1k or less. i am concentrating on other products first before i head that route though. the 2.5" system and still have a couple other tricks up my sleeve that nobody else currently produces.

Mine will be straighter to fit through the cut outs for the kit so I didn't take that in to consideration.

for the fact it could melt or seriously deform. especially if used close to the motor. my guys are bending up intercooler piping in alum, and you could toss a full 10' tube across the shop it is so light.
