Default I need some opinion guys...please help (header and exhaust)

okay after doing some research on this website about headers and exhausts.....

I have a 2003 350z enthusiast....

so I am getting nismo haders r-tune

now I wanna get an exhaust so I can get installed at the same time as I do my headers..

I don't know what exhaust to get with my r-tune nismo headers..

I want something that will last me a while at the same time hp and torque increase.. no problems of leakss...

please give me opinions...
greatly appreciated

If you still didnt buy nismo headers I suggest you to switch to Strup headers. Nismo headers is alot of cash, Strup cost $475 and give same gains as the nismo ones.

as for the exhaust I recommend borla if you're staying NA. otherwise if you plan to go sc/turbo I'd get a custom 3" exhaust.

Nismo products are top notch. but I dont see why you should drop $1100 for the nismo headers when you can get the same results from strup. anyhow, go with nismo if money is no problem for ya..

Nismo is good but their price is way too much. +1 on Strup header. BUT if money is not an issue for you then Nismo header and Nismo exhaust to match with it.

I would recommend as:

1. Strup header
2. Strup test pipe (or topspeed)
3. Borla Dual Exhaust or HKS Dual Exhaust

I recommend that you

a. Set a budget.
b. Decide what configuration you want. Single. Dual. One or two mufflers. Y-pipe?
c. Shop for catback exhaust systems which meets your budget and selection criteria.
d. Pick your favorite.

I'm not a cheap **** or anything...I just want something reliable. I don't want to fix my car every two weeks or sooo. I just want something reliable..so I thought nismo was goood..but most people on here like strup headers. if I get those what exhaust...

I narrow my decision down to nismo exhaust or borla exhaust...

do I need to buy a ypipe! or does it come with the cat back exhaust?

I am on a budget..I just want something good.reliable for the money...

I would not go as far as saying most people prefer one brand or another with only a few post on this thread. Unfortunately, because this topic has pretty much been played out 100 ways to Sunday on here, most people are probably skipping it.

davidv has the best approach so far, at least try and get out to a meet some other Z folks and hear/see some different systems.

A cat-back exhaust system replaces everything from the catalytic converters back.

If you buy Borla, you don't need Ypipe.
If you buy Nismo, you will need ypipe
Nismo header overprice and don't gain much hp.

Nismo exhaust comes with the Y pipe in the box.
You don't gain much from any exhaust.
