Just installed Popcharger..questions
1. Those damn snorkels are harder material than I thought, and Im lefthanded so it was a ***** to get pierced. The screw is on, but its not on all the way. It won't move at ALL, in any direction, and is very solid. I more or less ignored the bottom screw, seeing as I couldn't get anything pierced. Should I go back and put the bottom screw on (to hold the heat shield) or does it really matter? It's solid as a rock, I just want to know opinions on it.
2. How often does it need to be cleaned?
Thanks
Dylan

if you do a search theres some pics of how other members installed theres, and how they got those 2 screws in.

i installed mine yesterday and the most trouble was getting those two screws onto the snorkel... they r not all the way in but seems to hold the shield in place just fine.. there r a couple of members who installed theirs without the screws...

How does the heat shield stay in place without screws?
I just went outside to have another go at it, and its certainly not moving one bit. I have a feeling it won't come out or move at all. However..if people have alternatives, i'd LOVE to hear them. Thanks!

It's easy to pierce the plastic.
Just heat up the tip of a point (nail, poker, screwdriver) with one of those cool little $5-$10 butane torches. My screws went right in.
Hmmm, maybe even a regular lighter would get it hot enough?

Look at the top pic: heatshield and the bottom pic: install pics.
The two holes on the heatshield should be attached to the lower clamp over the frame rail edge.
I didn't need to adjust it so the snorkel attaching screw holes are aligned. Left that part out and it's holding up just fine.
As long as the lower clamp over the frame rail edge is securely tightened, you shouldn't have any problems.
Hope this helps.

Thanks; i'm going to home depot later on to get me a socket wrench here at school, and I'm going into her later on to tighten everything. I think its solid as a rock, but I hate lingering feelings!
Thanks again!
