2 days ago while i was installing an MD plenum spacer and opened the hood of my car i noticed that my pop charger was soo black and dirty,it was embarrasing when my uncle who was around saw it. It was pretty bad and dirty. To be honest i've never cleaned it, don't know what to do. Do i completely take it off and rinse it with something or...?

 

1. The filter is washable. Wash in a bucket of soap and water.
2. Rinse with clear water
3. Air dry
4. Spray with filter oil. You can buy at kit at AutoZone. Members also use a light silicone lubricant spray or WD40

you should clean it every 3 oil changes...especially since its so easy and only takes about an hour or so

 

I clean mine at every oil change.
