Added MREV-2 to my 3/8" spacer on Sunday. Despite the earlier Dyno's indicating that the A/F leans-out, I think that it's made good power in the mid-range. 3rd and 4th pull harder than before. No baseline Dyno to compare but I'm happy with the change. Will be lining up some type of engine management so that I can put my HF Cats back and try getting this tuned.

what's the price f the MREV2 if we want to purchase it at this point? Do we still get a refund if we do a core exchange?

LMG_35C, do you notice any difference now above 5K RPM in sound or performance? Thanks

If I remember correctly, after ½” spacer was added to my car, there was an increase in sound above 3-4K RPM, and also huge performance increase. Now, with MREV-2 there is intake sound increase above 5K RPM but I don’t feel any performance change.

Very subjective...although the increase feels more noticable bewteen 3 & 5K, I think it does pull harder all the way to redline. Forgot to mention is that I also reset ECU - never tried that before ????

I was on the fence about this mod after seeing the dyno's but at this point I'll probably keep the MREV-2 and return my stock unit for the core refund.

Exhaust sound is a bit deeper - perhaps influencing my perception as well.

Now if I could only decide on what tuning route to go; simple APEXI for A/F, a reflash, or all out on a UTEC - wish they made this smaller & with better user interface.

I installed my mrev2 about 2 weeks ago and I am going to have to say that it does pull harder in 3rd and 4th gear.. I haven't tried 5th and 6th gear pulls to redline, yet. I also go through 1st and 2nd gear a tad bit faster than I have before. There is also a slight increase in sound from the intake (I have a popcharger) but the exhaust note doesn't change enough to be noticeable.

Which car, G or Z, and which version of a tranny are you running?

Also, did you get the spacer too...or just the MREV V2?

Glad to hear you are happy.

I have a 2003 Daytona Blue 350Z Touring 6MT. I only have the MREV2 on my car, as I read earlier that having both the spacer and mrev2 would require a proper tune in order to get the maximum power gains. Without a tune, it doesn't gain much more from just the spacer nor just the mrev2 alone.

Sorry for not reading 37 pages of posts if this information is in there, but how would one obtain an mrev+ lower plenum? Website says it is sold out. Is there a group buy coming up?

Gotta love the older cars...still thinking they are the fastest! ;-) Yeah, w/both you should really get a tune to add fuel or else you will run lean/hot which will pull timing/power.

Nearlyzero, you will have to wait until the batch of core lower plenums comes back to ME b/f they have any real supply available...and fyi, it's only the MREV V2 that will be available now as far as I know.

Just to add a little flavor to the thread, this is what a Maxima looks like with a MREV-2 and 5/16" spacer added. Managed to pull a 12.9 @104 N/A automatic with slicks and a 13.2 @ 106 on streets.

I'm having the same questions about what tunning route. Im going FI in about 9 months and i dont know if spending the money on UTEC or a reflash is worth it until then. Thats why i was thinking of getting a simple apexi a/f to handle it but some say that it may not be safe. I dont have a spacer for the same reason that i will run lean but if an apexi can fix that then i will order the 5/16 isothermal kit. hmmmmm...........anyone have any answers to this?

when you guys are installing the mrev2, why do you need to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery? the manual suggests that you do.

..easy insurance to prevent any electrical component damage, and necessary to avoid throttle body re-learning. It's much easier to disconnect the TB so that you can get the upper plenum completely out of the way. Remember to lower windows as well - you'll need to reset radio etc but my Homelink settings were't affected. I also reset the ECU while I was at it.

From what I understand, mrev+ is basically just the 287 lower plenum with minor modifications.. mrev2 was machined, as you have noticed.. I'm not 100% sure as I've never researched to learn about the mrev+ (because I didn't need it).
