Default Might get JWT Popcharger... question.

Okay, so this is the deal. I still have the mod-bug from when I had my TSX, so I'm thinking about modding my 350z. Now, I don't want to put a whole lot of money into performance right now (I just went from a car with a 8 second 0-60 to a 5 second 0-60.. so im happy..). But seeing as the pop-charger is only $100..

Now, I had an Injen CAI in my TSX (along with a custom exhaust). I installed the exhaust first, and then a few months later put in the CAI. When I put in the CAI, my car all of a sudden sounded very strong (as un-ricey as a 4-cylinder w/ an exhaust can sound.. not very good but still!). So, my big question is, will I experience that same change of sound with a JWT popcharger in a Z? Is that only with CAI's? Or is that not going to happen at all because the 350z already roars..?

Oh, one more thing - how hard is it to clean the popcharger? Do I have to unscrew and pull tons of things apart to take the filter out? Or does it just come off easily?

If there is a pop charger question that has not previously been answered a hundred times, I promise to shot myself.

I've searched many times, but everyone compares it to other intakes on the z. I'm asking about going from a 4-cylinder to a 6-cylinder..

Pop charger is a good intake system. Cheap and easy to maintain. Good sound too.

Popcharger is a breakfast cereal with high protein and (carbon) fiber. strong for your bones and muscles.

J - jam
W - wheat
T - toast

Get it, you will like it, makes great noise, gives tad bit more oomph to the engine... and yes, requires a little dissassembly to clean.

Rant

If people spent more time answering questions, linking to relevant threads, or keeping their mouth shut rather than giving people a hard time, just imagine how easy it would be for curious people to find the answers they're looking for via the search engine. If you did a search and came up with hundreds of useless "USE THE SEARCH ENGINE" posts to filter through, what good is that to anyone? I understand that repetative posts get old, but if you don't like it just move on to the next thread. Reading a bunch of mindless posts is way more repetative, boring, and aggrevating than simply answering a common question.

/Rant

I don't have the popcharger so I can't really comment, other than I can't see anything wrong with the stock intake. From what I've heard, there aren't a lot of gains to be had with the intake. From what I've seen, I actually like the stock design better than the popcharger, but that's just me. My suggestion is to get a K&N filter to replace the paper filter and you're good to go. The K&N filter is less restrictive than the paper filter, it's easy to clean, it will last the life of the car, and it won't cause you any problems.

If you want breathing mods that make a bigger difference, look into getting a plenum spacer and high flow cats or test pipes. Better bangs for your buck IMO.

Quick Reply: Might get JWT Popcharger... question.
