Default Exhaust

Im trying to pick out an exhaust and i need some advice from the pro's i plan on getting racing pipes and i want an exhaust that will not be to ungodly loud with those and still give me best performance. I heard the apex n1 with pipes and it was too much. i want the exotic sound with the best possible performance gains not the formula1 sound. any suggestions?

With test pipes you are going to get that raspy sound unless they are resonated.

The nismo exhaust with resonated test pipes sounds good IMO

the injen kit sounds really good. do a search for exhaust sound clips. there is a thread with almost every system with clips, make the decision for yourself

svrtech..2.5'. Best way to get test pipes and a crazy v8 sound. The exhaust comes with test pipes, has an X pipe and has mufflers that don't use fiberglas packing. Its the highest quality stuff

if you are NA the Injen works good. If you are FI you need a more free flowing exhaust.

I have ran the Injen both NA and FI

If you don't want anything loud or obnoxious forget test pipes.

headers are a pain in the butt to install, test pipes are just going to be loud and raspy. You will only gain minimal HP from them and you will loose low end Torque.

If you plan on going FI I would just save the money until then.

I wish I would have saved all the money I spend no NA mods before going FI.

Good luck man

So would that be the same deal for high-flow cats? or is that a totally different story? as far as raspiness and low end torque goes?

Fujitsibo stainless. Almost as quiet as stock and with test pipes will probably sound pretty good.
