I know this is digging up the past but I have a quick question regarding the X-Pipe Muffler and my Injen Track Edition.
Would one want to get rid of the H-Pipe after adding the X-Pipe? Or is leaving it intact along with the X-Pipe going to cause lowered torque/hp? For the moment, I have the factory H-Pipe intact along with the X-Pipe Muffler and am curious if having both is inhibiting performance potential.
Excuse my ghetto photochopping skillz

So ideally the X-Pipe should be aligned somewhat like this:
But let's say I already have the X-Pipe muffler installed WITH the H-Pipe and now I need to remove the H-Pipe. So, do they just 'unweld' the H-Pipe and 'patch' the gaps?
To me it sounds like a pretty easy process but I if anything I have learned with car modding: never assume.
Thanks again for your input.

The best thing would be to have the H part completely removed and then weld the X in over it... but if you needed the H removed, a good shop should be able to remove the extension and patch it.
Worst case scenario is that they would have to refit some pipe or machine something to go in its place.
