Default Headers and FI

I'm considering the crawford headers. Any input? any power gains? I may go fi later and can I still use it?

Twin turbo kits come with exhaust manifolds or tubular headers so the crawford headers would have to come off. I've read about someone using headers with the TN ST, but they said it wasn't a good idea cause of fitment issues.

Only two people that have posted on here have had headers and FI. D350Z somthing somthing has Crawford headers and one other dude has DC headers and both had Turbonetics. Both also had to have some fabrication work done in order to make them fit properly. For FI stick with the stock cast iron headers.

Besides some Z's HATE headers. Esp mine. Since I installed I am getting a slow read on the O2 sensors and have an air metering code being thrown. In NY state you cant have any SES lights in order to get inspected so I have to use the underground inspection sites

The APS ST also has the ability to work with aftermarket headers, although no one knows if there is any benefit.

You can run alphawerks headers with the TN ST kit.

I have the Vortech and the Topspeed headers. Works for me. I have read that the reason you don't want headers with a ST setup is because the smaller diameter of the OEM exhaust manifolds create higher exhaust speeds or something like that which will help the turbo spool faster. A larger diameter manifold will slow down the gases and slow the spool time. This has been beaten to death over the past year and I think I may have paraphrased it correctly.

I think with a SC setup, you will want headers as the better the breathing and exhaust mods, the better.

You SHOULD be able to run any header with a ST as long as its flange where it bolts to the cats is in the same location as stock.

for headers, with the supercharger, im not a big fan at all, i would keep the stock manifolds and use high flow cats... the stock manifolds are great
for FI... IF you did headers, with the supercharger, i would do nismo or crawford... but, my personal choice, no headers and keep stock manifolds...

I took my DC headers off when the TN was installed for fear of fitment issues that most were having. Didn't want to have vibrating issues once everything had been done & be bothered with uninstalling the headers. I did have the OEM headers Jet Hot 2000 coated & it does help keep the heat under control.
